Met our Tom for breakfast. Before he arrived I went outside to sit on the patio. It was one of those lovely mornings with a hot day ahead. Unfortunately the patio was filled with people wearing headphones talking to their laptops. I retreated to the lobby and sat chatting to a 63 year old postman who is now down to working three days a week.
Later, the day has warmed up and I’m sat outside under the shade of a big umbrella. It is v pleasant other than the fact that this is where smelly smokers come to get their fix. The hotel smelled very American this morning. Airconditioning working full pelt.
I have an hour and forty five minutes until lunch. Chilltime. I could easily walk it from here. It’s only a mile. However, in keeping with the summery (ie hot) nature of the day, I am wearing flip flops so will likely just uber it.
Thought I’d let you know we won the Highly Commended award in some category or other in the CCUK Awards. Best Communications Enabler. That’s it. At one point I’d forgotten I’d entered that award until someone pointed it out to me. All’s well that ends well eh 🙂 @Wayne won a couple of awards. Well deserved. I gave our award to Jodie from Fuse2 to look after. I have a track record of leaving things behind in pubs and didn’t want it to happen with this award. We’ve won a lot of these awards over the years. There is a cabinet full of em at the Netaxis office. Until next year…
