A morning of sloth. Nipped out to fetch breakfast stuff at around 9am and returned with a bagful that included bacon. Upon examination in the kitchen we discovered that it was bacon with garlic. Hey, when in France… We stuck it on the bbq and had bacon baguettes.
Then strolled down to the lake and failed to get video footage of the fish jumping up and eating the waterboatmen or similar walking across the surface. Nicely shaded around the lake.
Four of the fam have set off for lunch in St Junien followed by a visit to the ruined village of Oradour sur Glane. Didn’t want to go meself. Once is enough and I went there with the boys during our rugby world cup trip. Instead we are going to take stuff to the recycling point then off to view the source of the Charentes. What’s not to like?
